Historic Five-Ship Flight
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Lt. Col. Michael Phillips adjusts KC-135R throttles during five-ship mission here on Saturday. The purpose of this mission was training. Four of the KC-135s refueled A-10 aircraft. The fifth KC-135R returned to base after the formation training was complete.
