Colonel Andrew W. Love is the Mission Support Group Commander at the 117th Air Refueling Wing, Alabama Air National Guard, Birmingham, Alabama. He is responsible for personnel assigned to the Civil Engineering, Force Support, Logistics Readiness, and Security Forces Squadrons, Communication Flight, and Contracting Element. The Group provides vital mission support to the 117th Air Refueling Wing for both federal and state mission requirements.

Col Love is a 1991 graduate of the University of Alabama, Birmingham.  He joined the Alabama Air National Guard in 1989 as a Contracting Apprentice and later received his commission as a 2nd Lieutenant through the Air National Guard Academy of Military Science in 1991.  He is a career Logistics Readiness Officer.  Lt Col Love was a key planner of the initial efforts of Operation NOBLE EAGLE after September 11th, 2001.  He also deployed as the sole Air Force Liaison to the Joint Logistics Command of JTF-Katrina in 2005. Prior to his current assignment, he commanded the 168th Logistics Readiness Squadron, Eielson AFB, AK where his squadron was selected as the 2013 USAF Air Reserve Component Logistics Activity of the Year and also won the Alaska Governor's Trophy as the top squadron in the Alaska Air National Guard.  Col Love is also a commercial pilot with over 4,300 hours of flight time.
